How to calculate the Destiny Matrix
Your whole matrix comes from three numbers: the day, the month and the year you were born. Everything else is addition. Below is the exact method our calculator uses, worked through for one real date so you can check every step by hand.

The one rule: keep every number between 1 and 22
Each position holds one of the 22 Arcana. Whenever a sum comes out above 22, add its digits together and repeat until it is 22 or less. 41 becomes 4 + 1 = 5, and a birthday on the 25th becomes 2 + 5 = 7. 22 itself is never reduced.
Worked example: born August 14, 1990
1. The four corners
The day, month and year give the first three corners of the square. The fourth is their sum. These are your four karmic tasks, set at the points of the square in the chart.

2. The centre
Add the four corners together to get the Arcana in the middle of the chart, your Comfort Zone. Almost every position that follows builds on it.

3. The ancestral lines
A second, diagonal square sits between the corners. Each of its points is the sum of the two corners beside it and describes what you carry from your father's or your mother's line.

The Financial Channel and the Partnership position both grow out of the centre, which is why they are so often read together.

5. Your purpose
The Sky Line joins the top and bottom corners, the Earth Line joins the left and right. Their sum is your Personal Destiny, the purpose for the first half of life.
